45-day ceasefire

Axios noted that mediators informed Iran that the next two days represent the last chance to prevent the country's destruction, and that there is no time for further negotiations.
The website stated that Iran is unwilling to compromise on the Strait of Hormuz and the uranium issue in exchange for a 45-day ceasefire, and that the 45-day ceasefire effort is the only opportunity to avert a dangerous escalation.

He added: Mediators are working on confidence-building measures regarding Iran's uranium stockpile, and the second phase of the ceasefire proposal is a complete cessation of hostilities. He noted that the ceasefire proposal could be extended to allow more time for talks.
He further explained, citing sources, that there is little chance of reaching a partial agreement within the next 48 hours.
