Pakistani twins Sufyan and Yusuf arrive in Riyadh for separation surgery

In accordance with the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister - may God protect them - the Saudi capital, Riyadh, today received the Pakistani conjoined twins (Sufyan and Yusuf) along with their family, arriving from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan via King Khalid International Airport.

Upon their arrival, the specialized medical teams transferred the twins to King Abdullah Specialized Children’s Hospital of the Ministry of National Guard, in order to conduct the necessary medical examinations and study their condition carefully to consider the possibility of performing a separation operation on them, in a step that reflects the great care that the Kingdom gives to critical humanitarian cases.

In this context, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, Advisor at the Royal Court, Supervisor General of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, and head of the medical and surgical team, expressed his deepest gratitude and appreciation to the wise leadership for this noble humanitarian initiative. Dr. Al-Rabeeah emphasized that this swift response embodies the pioneering role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in humanitarian and medical work, noting that the Saudi program for separating conjoined twins has become a globally recognized and highly regarded model, thanks to the unlimited support of the leadership and the accumulated expertise of the Saudi medical team.
