The seven were detained, and legal procedures were initiated against them. The violators were referred to the relevant authorities, while the driver was referred to the Public Prosecution.
The official spokesperson for the General Directorate of Mujahideen emphasized that anyone who facilitates the entry of border security violators into the Kingdom, transports them within its borders, provides them with shelter, or offers them any assistance or service whatsoever, is subject to penalties of up to 15 years imprisonment, a fine of up to one million riyals, confiscation of the vehicle and the accommodation used for sheltering them, and public shaming.
He clarified that this crime is considered a major offense warranting arrest and is a breach of honor and integrity.
Reporting violators
The spokesperson urged reporting violations of residency, labor, and border security regulations by calling 911 in the Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern regions, and 999 and 996 in the rest of the Kingdom.
