1.9 million beneficiaries of the "Doctor for Every Family" program in Makkah by 2025

The Makkah Health Cluster achieved a remarkable medical milestone in 2025, with its "Doctor for Every Family" program achieving record-breaking performance and beneficiary reach. The program successfully provided curative and preventative services to approximately 1,891,327 beneficiaries, reflecting significant progress in the region's primary healthcare system.

Figures and statistics reflect the scale of the achievement

The Makkah Health Cluster explained that these comprehensive services were implemented through a well-structured system comprising 331 qualified medical teams. These teams consisted of 484 physicians and 353 nurses, working harmoniously and seamlessly across various medical specialties. These personnel were distributed across 110 health centers covering Makkah and Al-Qunfudhah Governorate, with multiple communication channels activated, combining in-person visits with virtual clinics to ensure rapid response and minimize waiting lists.

The context of health transformation and Vision 2030

This achievement aligns with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and the Health Sector Transformation Program, which places primary care at the cornerstone of the new healthcare system. The "Doctor for Every Family" program aims to connect every individual and family with a physician responsible for continuously monitoring their health, thereby enhancing the efficiency of healthcare spending and realizing the principle that prevention is better than cure. This model represents a practical application of the institutional transformation strategies that the Kingdom seeks to implement to improve the quality of life.

The strategic importance of primary care

The importance of this expansion lies in strengthening the concept of family medicine as the first line of defense in the healthcare system. Through continuous monitoring and standardized medical history, the program contributes to the early detection and control of chronic diseases before they worsen, thus reducing pressure on emergency departments and referral hospitals. This transformation directly contributes to improving health indicators for the population at both the local and national levels.

A comprehensive preventive and awareness system

Alongside treatment services, the program focused heavily on awareness, broadcasting over 16 million educational messages aimed at raising health awareness within the community. These efforts aim to transform health centers from traditional treatment centers that receive patients into proactive, preventative centers that build a proactive health database and establish direct and continuous communication between physicians and families, thus ensuring comprehensive and integrated healthcare for all.
