Gold stabilizes near $4800, posting continued weekly gains

Gold prices were largely stable today, and are on track for a fourth consecutive weekly gain.

Gold rose 0.1% in spot trading to $4,794.47 an ounce.

U.S. gold futures for June delivery rose 0.2% to $4,816.40.

In other precious metals, spot silver rose 0.5% to $78.76 an ounce, platinum gained 0.3% to $2,091.45, and palladium climbed 0.3% to $1,555.

The price of gold has stabilized significantly today, heading towards gains for the fourth consecutive week.

Gold increased in spot transactions by 0.1% to $4794.47 per ounce.

US gold futures for June delivery rose by 0.2% to $4816.40.

In other precious metals, silver in spot transactions rose by 0.5% to $78.76 per ounce, platinum increased by 0.3% to $2091.45, and palladium rose by 0.3% to $1555.
