The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, sent a cable of congratulations to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, Sultan of Oman, on the anniversary of his accession to the throne, which falls on January 11th. The King expressed his sincerest congratulations and best wishes for continued health and happiness to His Majesty, and for further progress and prosperity to the government and people of the brotherly Sultanate of Oman under his wise leadership. This congratulatory message coincides with the anniversary of Sultan Haitham bin Tariq's accession to the throne on January 11, 2020, succeeding the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said – may God have mercy on him. Since his accession, the Sultanate has witnessed a new phase of structural and economic reforms within the framework of "Oman Vision 2040," which largely aligns with "Saudi Vision 2030" in its objectives of diversifying income sources, empowering youth, developing infrastructure, and attracting foreign investment.
