Hajj season: Al-Jalajil assesses the readiness of health facilities in the holy sites
This is to ensure the provision of high-quality integrated healthcare for pilgrims, in line with the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program and the Guests of God Service Program stemming from the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, to enable pilgrims to perform their rituals in good health and peace of mind.
Details of the Minister of Health's tour
The tour included Mina Emergency Hospital 2, whose capacity has doubled this year to reach 400 beds, in addition to the construction of three new floors and a vital annex with a total building area of 18,000 square meters.
Field connectivity has also been enhanced by linking the hospital to Mina Emergency Hospital (1) via a dedicated bridge, ensuring the smooth flow and integration of services.
The Minister of Health also visited Namirah General Hospital, which has 114 beds, including beds designated for intensive care and heatstroke cases, and the Namirah Pedestrian Hospital, which has a capacity of 50 beds.
He remotely monitored the vital signs of a pilgrim benefiting from the smartwatches at King Abdullah Medical City.

Boosting operational capacity
The participation of the private sector comes to enhance integration and coordination with government agencies in the health system, through the provision of specialized services aimed at enhancing operational capacity, reflecting the integration of efforts between the entities of the health system, in support of rapid response and enabling the pilgrims to perform their rituals in health and peace of mind.
