Large-scale Russian airstrikes
This attack comes after Russia launched airstrikes on Kyiv and its surrounding region the previous day, killing at least 21 people, according to an initial toll from the Ukrainian emergency services.
Daily Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities resumed immediately after the end of a ceasefire declared by US President Donald Trump, just hours before Russia commemorated the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany in World War II.
