Jeddah Municipality launches an initiative to develop the mobile food truck system and promote municipal innovation

The Jeddah Governorate Municipality launched a unique initiative aimed at developing the mobile food truck system by adopting modern methods that contribute to improving the urban landscape and enhancing the quality of life. The initiative relies on interactive surveys targeting truck owners, residents, and suppliers to build a realistic vision that supports community participation in shaping the future of this vital sector, ensuring the provision of advanced services that meet the aspirations of visitors and beneficiaries in the Bride of the Red Sea.
The Secretariat explained that it will use the results of these surveys to launch specialized competitions and hackathons to support municipal creativity through platforms that allow sharing innovative solutions and ideas that can be practically applied, noting the implementation of field tours in cooperation with the Services Agency and the General Department of Social Responsibility with the participation of a volunteer team working to raise awareness among cart owners and their visitors about the importance of participating in the electronic survey and motivating them to contribute to the development of this investment and tourism experience.

The Secretariat indicated that the initiative comes within the efforts of the Strategy and Institutional Excellence Agency to transform creative ideas into real opportunities that raise the rate of beneficiary satisfaction and support innovation in data-driven municipal work. It called on all interested parties to participate via the dedicated link, stressing that these contributions will form the basic basis for building future initiatives aimed at organizing the sector and providing a wider space for creativity that serves the urban and social environment in the city.
