The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center announced the completion of the second phase of its emergency food aid project in Yemen, distributing 14,240 complete food baskets in Hadramawt Governorate. This aid targeted the most vulnerable families and internally displaced persons, benefiting 99,680 individuals, in an effort to enhance food security and alleviate the severity of the humanitarian crisis facing the Yemeni people.

In this context, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre was established that same year as the humanitarian arm of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, directing a significant portion of its operations to support Yemen due to geographical and historical ties and the immense scale of the need.
The Kingdom is one of the largest donors of humanitarian aid to Yemen, where it implements hundreds of projects through the center in vital sectors including food, health, water, shelter and education, with the aim of reaching the most vulnerable groups throughout the country.

The emergency food aid project aims to distribute 100,000 food baskets, benefiting approximately 700,000 people across various Yemeni governorates. Each basket contains essential food items such as flour, rice, sugar, vegetable oil, and dates—enough to meet the needs of an average family for a full month. Distribution operations in Hadramawt were carried out according to precise field mechanisms and in full coordination with local authorities to ensure that aid reaches its intended beneficiaries transparently and efficiently.
